Where Am I?

I flew out of Southampton yesterday and after a lay over in Paris (one hour longer than it should have been) I flew on to Dakar in Senegal. For the next week I’ll be in meetings of leaders of Bible translation organisations from across West Africa. Dakar is about as far was as you can get in Africa, next stop is Brazil. The airport was busy, but I came through without any major hassles. I’m not sure what the city actually looks like because it was dark when I arrived.

The picture is from another website, not one I took. Dakar is probably most famous for the Dakar rally, indeed when you do a Google search for pictures you end up with pages and pages of trucks and cars driving through sand.
