Please try to name ONE (I know, there are so many to choose from) CCM praise song that you find unbearable and at least 2-3 reasons why, pointing to specific lyrics if you must.
I’ve struggled a little with how to answer this one, because when I have strayed into this area in the past, I’ve picked up a lot of flack. So, by way of obscure response, I though I’d post a video by a singer who is not a Christian. Please watch this through and listen to the words – it should strike a chord with the Brits. I wish, I could find Christian music that engaged with issues with the same passion, drive and sheer artistry that Chris Wood brings to this track. It is simply breathtaking.
