I have to admit that I’m really excited, this morning. I can finally share a piece of news with you that I’ve had to keep secret until today. This summer, I will take up a new role as the CEO of the running mission. I’m sure that you will be as excited about this as I am. The following press release gives you all of the details.
The Running Mission are delighted to announce the appointment of Eddie Arthur as their Chief Executive Officer. Eddie has many years experience of working with Wycliffe Bible Translators and is also a member of the Trail Running Association.
Avril Poisson, the chair of Trustees says:
We are confident that Eddie has the experience and background to lead the Running Mission in through the next stage of its development. Eddie’s willingness to spend time dealing with issues is a great gift. Most runners move quickly and finish as fast as they can, by comparison, Eddie is slow and gives time to everything that he does.
The Running Mission was established in 2012 in the wake of the London Olympics to reach out to the many people involved in park run, fun running, city marathons and tough mudders.
This press release is embargoed until 1am on Sunday April 1 2018 and from 11.59am on the same date.
As you can see, this is a wonderful opportunity for me, I’d be foolish not to accept it.
