About Us

We are Eddie and Sue Arthur and we have been members of Wycliffe Bible Translators for over thirty years. For twelve years we lived in Ivory Coast where we were part of the team translating the scriptures for the Kouya people – hence the name for this blog.

These days we are based in the UK. Sue spends time consulting for translation projects in Madagascar while Eddie, who has recently completed a PhD in mission agency theology and practice researches, writes and talks about the future of mission and does most of the blogging on this site.

We have two grown-up sons and we are looked after by a Labradoodle who watches over our every move.

Hi there, just wondering where you are in the uk? I would be interested in getting in contact some time as I have an interest in mission in western culture.

Hi Pete, sorry about the delay in replying – I’ve not been well for a couple of months. I’m based close to Skipton in Yorkshire.

Thanks for your sharing! I’m a Malaysian grow up in Taiwan, 24-years-old, considering join Wycliffe Taiwan or Wycliffe Malaysia in next 5 years.
