This is a large and amorphous category and there isn’t a lot in common between some of these blogs other than they are written by Christians. I actually read more blogs than I will list here, but some are of of restricted interest or post so rarely that I won’t give them a mention. One […]
The Centrality of Mission
I’m generally allergic to articles on mission which are based on Matthew 28. It seems to me that we often concentrate on the few well know verses of The Great Commission and miss out the wider teaching of Scripture. However, I’m willing to make an exception in the case of this excellent article by Brian […]
OK. So I changed again….
To be honest, I wasn’t very keen on the yellow theme either. What do you think of this one? It’s a variation on the one that Lingamish was using. I need to hack it a bit more, but it may take me ages to get round to it.
This is a somewhat loose category to lump together a series of blogs which each focus on specific areas of the world. Four of them are written by colleagues of mine working in Africa and one by a former colleague who now resides in the United States. Rob & Lois Baker and Nora McNamara (all […]

Speeding Motorist: Oui Monsieur! (You got me bang to rights guv) For the full irony of this true(ish) story, read this in the Guardian!

Over the next few days, I’m going to highlight some of the blogs which I read on a regular basis. I’ll end the series with the award for my blog of the year. I can already hear the apathy set in around the world as bloggers wonder if they will get the no very coveted […]
Elshaddai Edwards has an excellent post which reviews different philosophies of Bible translation and points out their strengths and weaknesses. The great thing about this article is that whatever translation or translation philosophy you prefer, Edwards will probably upset you. That’s what I call and even handed approach. If you want inerrancy, you need to […]
More on Christmas Trees
From the Cartoon Blog.
Thou shalt not…. or shalt thou?
Hamo has just written a very short, but extremely profound post. Before you go over to his blog, just ask yourself whether it is ever ok for a Christian to tell a lie? When you’ve thought about that for a few seconds, read what he has to say here. The moral of the story is […]
The Bible on Google Earth?
Today’s Daily Telegraph has an interesting article about an artist who produced art works of Biblical scenes that look as if they come from Google Earth. The examples here are of the Garden of Eden and the crossing of the Red Sea.
