One last link from my Congo trip. This is a fascinating photo-journal about a cooperative of hearing impaired carpenters by John James of the BBC. Apparently, these guys make amazingly good furniture. John lives on the centre where I was staying in Brazzaville. I had dinner with him one evening and it turns out that we have a good few friends in common, not least one of the ministers of our church here in Southampton.

i came across a BBC story about a carpentry school in Congo for the hearing impaired. was hoping to get some more info about the place, what it is called, how to contact them. i am a carpenter in seattle washington, thought it might be cool to try and get some carpentry supplies to their school if such a thing is possible.
