This week, I’m supposed to be in Mali speaking at a retreat for people involved in Bible translation and language development in that country. Unfortunately, on many levels, there has been a military coup and I’ve ended staying at home. However, I have recorded some of the talks I was planning to give and you can listen to them or download them here. It has to be said, that recording a talk, sitting at our dining table does not produce as lively a recording as actually speaking to a group of people. Still, you may find this helpful.
These three talks from Acts give a brief summary of the Church’s move from being a monolingual/monocultural organisation at the start of the book of Acts, to being a multilingual/multicultural one by the end of the book. This is a huge transformation and was no easier than any change ever is.
