It’s been a pretty good day today. The translation teams that I’m working with have done very well. Lots of good progress in developing plans for the future. I was a little worried at the start, but once they got going, everyone was joining in most entusiastically. I was invited for dinner by a Swiss family and ended up being employed making animal noises for their two daughters. It’s good when my real talents get recognised! The interenet connection has been down for much of the evening. I’m not sure why, but it seems to be fine again. As I couldn’t spend time blogging or reading the British newspapers, I spent an hour translating PowerPoint presentations into French. My spoken French is fine (an Air France hostess asked if I was Dutch on the way here – she wouldn’t believe I was English, but knew I wasn’t French) but my writing is just as bad as my English! I’ll use the presentations tomorrow – a good opportunity for some public humiliation!
