Time To Go Home

Well, the workshop has been pretty good. The last thing we did was to get people to comment on the positives and negatives of the last week. There were lots of positives with a number of translation teams saying that we’d helped them to think about their translation programmes in ways that hadn’t occured to them before. There weren’t, fortunately, too many negatives.

It is a real privilege to work with people who give their lives and energy to Bible translation and literacy work and it has been good to help help them move forward with their projects.

Now, there is nothing much to do but wait for tonight’s flight. I leave here about midnight and should be at Heathrow by about eight in the morning, which isn’t too bad. For some reason, I’ve got to check in for my flight and leave my baggage in the middle of the afternoon and then go back to the airport this evening. I’m not that keen on airports that I want to go twice! I’ve already booked my seat online, so I’m not particularly worried about getting there early to ensure that I get an aisle seat.

This post was written using a new Microsoft tool, Windows Live Writer. It integrates with a number of blogging platforms and seems to do a good job. I’ve tried other offline systems before, but none have been as flexible as this one. I hate to be nice about Microsoft, but sometimes you just have to swallow your pride!
