As a number of people have noticed on Facebook, I reached my half century today. I’ll be celebrating with a few friends at a Nairobi restaurant that I’ve not been to before. I’m flying home early tomorrow, so I’ll need to pack before we go out. Sue is in Southern Madagascar and hoping to spend the weekend on the beach. I guess we will manage a family celebration some time soon. Being a nomad does mean that you miss rather too many family celebrations. One of my friends told me today that her husband had been away at conferences and meetings for her last eight birthdays.
Then again, it’s good to have friends around the world and here is the cake that Pam made for our coffee break today.
