Money Makes the Web Go Round

As you can see by the visitor map, we have been getting an increasing number of visitors to the Kouya Chronicle. Not only that, but quite a few people are downloading (and using?) some of the presentations and articles. However, this increase in traffic means that we are now regularly using more than our monthly bandwidth allowance which adds to our costs. To try and defray some of the costs involved in running the site, I’ve given a higher profile to our Amazon associates shop. The way this works is that if you use our links to buy anything from, we will receive a percentage of what you spend. You can visit our Amazon shop here. As you will see, we have made some suggestions that might be interesting, but you can also search for any book, cd or what-have-you that Amazon sells. Why not bookmark our Amazon link and use it when you come to do your Christmas shopping online? (Not so subtle hint).
I’ve got rid of the library section of the site because it was rather difficult to maintain, but we will continue to recommend and review books.

While on the subject, I’ve just finished reading ‘The Lighthouse’ by PD James. I can’t for the life of me figure out why Amazon is selling it for only £3.99 (we won’t make much on it) as it is easily worth twice that in paperback. It’s definitely the best detective story that I’ve read in years.

This post is more than a year old. It is quite possible that any links to other websites, pictures or media content will no longer be valid. Things change on the web and it is impossible for us to keep up to date with everything.
