You cannot simply extract a couple of verses from one of the Gospels and build a whole edifice on them, those verses have to be read in their full context and ultimately this will lead us to the whole Bible.

Some bad stuff in orphanages, some fake Christians in the USA and some real ones in Iraq, with a few other interesting things thrown in for value.
Rather than saying God is a missionary God and therefore we should do mission, we might be better saying that God is holy and that we should be holy. This doesn’t mean that we don’t do mission – but it shapes the way we go about it.
All too often, references to the “Great Commission” are little more than proof-texting. We should know better!
